THE
RAILROAD TYCOON II ROBBER BARON SITE
NEWS
Update
12th September 2004:
A brand new look for this site coming soon! Express World is
re-launching with a brand new look soon, as is this site - however
for the first time since the take over by Express World, the site
will have an independent look and navigation. Though some content
will be shared with Express World, this site will become more
independent... though will still be operated by Express World.

30.07.2002: Well the
time has finally come. I am going to be finished with my
studies in a month and life has to go on. I will close
this site on August 30th, as the traffic I received has
been down anyway. I hope you enjoyed the time of the
Robber Baron and I wish you all the best. Happy
railroading!!
28.04.2002: I have teamed up with the RT site Express World . Now you can access a
messageboard and a map archive directly from my site,
both are hosted by Express World. I have added a link to
Express World in the links section as well. There is also
some info on RT3 on this site. Enjoy!
31.03.2002: Wow, I got a lot of responses concerning RRT2
and Win 2000 / XP. It seems that RRT2 Platinum works on
Win 2000 and Win XP (it even sais so on the box!). Also,
someone claimed to have gotten RRT2 original running on
XP if the add-on "Second Century" was installed
and started. That's it for now, I hope all of you are
still railroading.
Railroad Tycoon II is a game of railbuilding and
moneymaking, of fighting against those who want to get on
your money. This site covers not railroad building but
the one thing that is fun: How to make more money than
your competitors and ruin them on the way.
But before you can do so you must make sure you are
willing to accept the following....
1. That you found a
railroad company purely to make money
2. That those who like to build railroads will hate you
3. That you ruin the companies you can get control over
You are not prepared for
this? Then stop reading now.
The others want to build
their rails and think that who has the biggest railway
network has won. This is totally wrong. The one with most
money has won. Really. You can ruin a railway network.
You can make his stocks prices go down like a bar of lead
falling from a tower. But once you have the money, no-one
can take it from you (except your own stupidity).
If we look into U.S.
history we see that there were some remarkable men who
managed to extract money from a railway company and
ruining it on the way, men like Jay Gould , James Fisk
and Daniel Drew . These were the Robber Barons of their
time, and here I will try to teach you how to become a
Robber Baron in your own right.
