- I say we should be able to set the aggression of the individual trains.
For example, you can have the "engineer" of passenger cars operate their locos
along safety lines, while having the cargo trains operate for speed. Kind of
like a scale from speed on one end to safety on the other. - Anonymous, 04/26/2002 22:11:59 [Reply]
- you should also have local trains with transfer cabooses, 3D views of
places along the tracks, car-train crashes, having railroad service terminals
visable on the map, having container and trailer loading facilities by harbors
and busy terminals, telephone poles along the tracks, roads that go over the
tracks(crossings), detaled cities and towns, and the ocasional RUNAWAY
TRAIN!!!!!!!!!! - Nick, 04/26/2002

- i think that rt3 should have signals, locomotive and rolling stock you can
paint in your favorite railroad colors, passing sidings, a bigger more
realistic map, railroad yards, more choices of locomotives, smaller towns on
maps, sidings that go into or by the industry(example:grain elavators,
feedmills, factories, scrapyards, ect.)emd and ge demo locomotives, and longer
trains. - rt2 player, 04/26/2002

- Regional economies: this would particularly apply to ports, and would
allow ports in different territories to produce / demand different cargoes.
Alternatively better interaction between supply and demand, so if a supplied
good is regularly picked up it stimulates the production; conversely, if its
left untouched production declines. - Wez, 04/26/2002 05:55:06 [Reply]
- How about being able to pay to build industries. Not resources as those

a Stock of engines which could be designated for a line. If a train has
technical probs, a replacemamt locomotive could be sent. Or an engine could be

- Train cargo value should not go down as the train travels. It should have
the same worth and decrease once or twice "ONLY" if the train is very late
getting to its destination. This would allow a user to have "premium" priced
intermodal trains and "whenever it gets there" priced manifest freights. Then
we could use that 1-9 priority numbering system I spoke of a while back. -
